A New Executive Director Joins Us
After a long and comprehensive search, the YMCA has a new Executive Director, Gregg Thompson. Gregg began his new position June 9th. Recently, Gregg served as the CEO of the Cumberland YMCA in Cumberland, Maryland. Previous to that, Gregg has served as the Executive Director of the Haverhill YMCA in Haverhill, Massachusetts. A native of South Hadley, Gregg graduated from Springfield College and began his YMCA career as the Youth Program Director in Springfield. With family located in Western Massachusetts, Gregg is quite happy to return with his wife and family to the area.
He is looking forward to his new position and we are delighted to welcome him as the new Executive Director of the YMCA of Greater Westfield. So come June 9th, be sure to give a wave or say hello to Gregg as he joins us. We certainly want to make him feel at home at the Y!
