Preschool & Kinder Gymmies
Our Preschool & Kinder Gymmies classes are a great place for children to try out gymnastics for the first time or further their skills to get ready for the more advanced classes or team. No longer needing Mom or Dad in the gym with them for class, these gymnasts work with their coach and peers.
Gymnasts will be working on general motor skills, balance, strength, flexibility and beginner gymnastics skills in a fun, safe environment. Our gymmies will try walking forwards, sideways and backwards along with various jumping & dance activities on the beam. Tumbling and rolls are introduced, as well as some beginner cartwheel and handstand skills.
Hanging and swinging activities on bars including front support, casts, rolling forward, pullovers and swings. Running, jumping and landing are introduced for vault. Most classes are 45 mins long and begin with stretching and a warm up.
Our Recreational classes cater to both beginner and intermediate level gymnasts. No prior gymnastics experience is required. Gymnastics instruction will be given on the four Olympic events: floor exercise, balance beam, uneven bars, and vault. Gymnasts will be grouped according to age and ability.
Safety and fun are a priority.
