HERE FOR COMMUNITY. HERE FOR GOOD.
We’re more than a place, we’re a cause. Every day, the YMCA of Greater Westfield strengthens the community through programs and services focused on.
2020 has been a year like no other in recent history. For many people across our country and in our communities, there were times it felt like there was no relief in sight – and that feeling continues as we approach year end. We at the YMCA of Greater Westfield never want anyone to feel that sense of despair.
As a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening community, we’ve been working harder than ever before to make sure everyone in our community feels safe and cared for as we navigate these challenging times together.
We said yes we can help meet the most pressing needs of the community without a concern for costs, bottom-lines or operating margins.
We said yes we will open Essential Employee Emergency Child Care to ensure that our front-line workers had a safe and caring place for their children.
We said yes we will open summer camps with all the new restrictions –knowing that expenses would increase and revenues would decrease but also knowing that it was more important for youth development and closing the child care gap for working families.
We said yes we will open our YMCA again because health seekers, seniors and all depend on us for a balanced spirit, mind and body.
We said yes we can operate remote learning centers to serve families, who to no fault of their own, cannot be home with their children during the school day.
Now more than ever your support is vital for us to continue our mission driven work. We want to continue to meet the needs of the community.
Help us continue to step up and serve.
Help us say “Yes We Will”
The Y. Forever in service. For a better us.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT: All kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve, under the guidance of caring adults who believe in their potential. We see every interaction with young people as an opportunity for learning and development—all grounded in the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
HEALTHY LIVING: Health and well-being are all about balance. That’s why we help people and families build and maintain healthy habits for spirit, mind and body in their everyday lives. By helping kids, adults, families and seniors from all walks of life to improve their health and well-being, we build a stronger community.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: With our doors open to all, we bring together people from all backgrounds, and support those who need us most. We take on the most urgent needs in our community and inspire a spirit of service in return. Our members, volunteers, supporters and staff demonstrate the power of what we can achieve by giving back together.
We have an extraordinary opportunity to ensure a brighter future for our community, but we need your help. Your gift to The YMCA of Greater Westfield will have a lasting impact in the community by helping us to reach more people through life changing programs and services.

SO MUCH MORE IS POSSIBLE WITH YOUR SUPPORT
Last year the YMCA of Greater Westfield served close to 6,000 families, adults and children. Through our financial assistance program we helped over 900 families and children and provided over $250,000 dollars in scholarships. With your support, the Annual Campaign ensures that the YMCA is there for those who need us most. Your generous donation helps us fulfill our mission and vision every day. With a commitment to nurturing the potential of every child and teen, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the Y ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive regardless of their ability to pay. When you support the Y, you help assure that everyone has a chance to benefit from all that the YMCA has to offer. Every dollar raised goes directly to providing financial assistance.
